The Object of the Game

Show whatcha know to win cash and prizes. Your score is based on both selecting the right answer (duh!) and your speed (speed kills – but here it wins you cool stuff, like an iPod). Once you click “Play” the first time, a small download will install to ensure the sanctity of our game (translation: we don’t want no cheaters!). So, answer right and answer fast. Being the generous souls that we are we give you a fun fact to ponder, a needed mental pause if you will, between each question.

The Good Ole Rules

  1. You can only play each trivia game once. This is the only way to keep the tournaments fair and fun for everyone. Besides, do you really want to play the same game twice when we have over 2,500 to choose from?
  2. Once you start the game you must complete it without interruption for your score to count. There’s no pausing or going “back.” (Again: no cheating!) The game launches into a DirectX, full-screen format and if interrupted, you can still reenter the game to complete it, but your score will not count in our standings. We recommend disabling all other applications running on your computer that could interrupt your game. We hope you can live without IMs for 5 minutes for a chance to win an iPod or mad braggin rights!
  3. If you chose to quit the game, your score will not be registered and you will not be allowed to reenter that game. Oh, and of course you are disqualified from winning a free iPod for that game. No prisoners here – you can leave the game as easily as you entered.
  4. You must be at least thirteen years old to play a trivia game. In order to win an iPod or other prizes, players must be at least eighteen years old. We require that you register with us so that we may verify your age. Sorry kids, come back when you’re legal.
  5. Playing in tournament-style internet games for prizes is not legal in all localities and countries. Wherever a player is physically located when they play will be considered their location for our purposes. ALL ASPECTS OF PLAY ALL TRIVIA ARE VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. (This would be a good time to read our Terms of Service.) I know, we got all serious on you there for a sec. Let’s put it this way: make sure you’re not breaking any laws, and if you are, bust out your pen and paper and write your Congressperson. We think everyone should have the right to win a free iPod!
  6. Play All Trivia reserves the right to add, delete or change the rules or prize schedule at any time. What? Why? Well, we don’t wanna lose our shirts giving away free iPods!

Play the Game, Be the Game

  1. You will be asked a trivia question and the correct answer will be either A, B, C, or D. Once we give you time to read the question, the answer choices will be displayed and the timer will start. Answer fast, because speed counts!
  2. After submitting your answer, the timer will stop and a new page will show you a fun fact. This gives you a needed mental pause, but don’t get too comfy ‘cause we move you on to the next question after a set amount of time. Or, you can click anywhere on the page to move on to the next question. Hey, we got a tournament to run here!
  3. After 10 questions, you will exit the full screen mode and will be taken to an optional page which will ask you for more demographic information. Hey if you win we need to be able to send you the prize! From our application, you’ll have access to our other tournament-style games where we will give you a no-obligation $10 credit which you can use to win prizes in our other skill-based tournaments, run by our partner, Tournament Games.
  4. From the results page and our application (the small download which we promise – cross our hearts and hope to die – is spyware-free), you will be able to view your personal scores, your rank in the tournaments you’ve completed, and the high score for those games (those lucky free iPod-winning punks!). Of course, it wouldn’t be fair to you if we didn’t show you a list of the other games that could win you cash and prizes!

What's My Score

  1. Your score will be based on speed and accuracy, but you already knew that.
  2. Your time score for each quiz ticks down from 1000, each second costs you points. So, if you are fast as lightning you could get up to 1000 points. Let this be fair warning so we don’t hear whining later: if in your haste to answer quickly you accidentally click on a no-mans land region between questions or click the wrong answer, we take no responsibility for the inadvertent click. Remember the SATs and take your time in filling in bubbles correctly.
  3. Sorry, no charity here: if you answer the question incorrectly you will receive no points. And, if your significant other calls, send them to voicemail, because once the ticker hits 0, you are awarded (you guessed it) 0 points.
  4. Your points from all questions in this game will be tallied up, added, and displayed on the top of the screen after you answer each question. When the game is finished, back in your Play All Trivia console you’ll see - TA DA - your final score and your all-important rank. Please feel free to challenge your friends, family, coworkers, the guy down the street, the milk man, the meter maid . . . the bigger the party, the better the payoff in referral credits for you!

I Want a Prize

  1. Each tournament lasts a maximum of 90 days. Whoever is in first place at the close of a tournament is declared the winner of that tournament.
  2. In the case of ties, all tied users will be declared equal winners for the purposes of our drawing.
  3. All first place winners of closed tournaments will be entered into a pool of winners. From this pool, we will be drawing for at least one iPod, giftcard, PSPs and/or other prizes. The amount of prizes is determined by the entries into our tournaments. You can email us to find out the exact prizes for current tournaments. The drawings are completely random and there is no advantage for getting a higher score – a win is a win, and when you win, you’re in. Please see our complete Terms of Service for all of the rules governing the drawings and prizes. Terms of Service for all of the rules governing the drawings and prizes.
  4. It can take up to 90 days after a drawing for the winners to be notified and the prizes awarded. Usually, however, winners are notified within 30 days, so be sure to give us your correct information when you register or we will never be able to reach you if you are the winner.
  5. We require you to register with a valid email address so that we can contact you when you win a prize. To be the envy of your friends with your new free iPod, we’ve got to be able to reach you, so no sense in avoiding us if you’re going to play. Please don’t come moaning to us when you win a tournament and can’t collect your prize because you gave us a bogus email address. If you’re smart enough to win, be smart enough to give us a real address. For those legally-inclined or paranoid, please read our Privacy Policy.
  6. The good news? You can enter into each drawing up to three times. So, go ahead, win three tournaments and you’ll have thrice the chance. Win 10 and you’ll have mad braggin rights fo’ shizzle, but you will only be entered into the drawing three times.
  7. The catch? There are almost none . . . well one. You can only win one prize per 6 months. All tournaments you win in your 6 month waiting period of glory effectively close off that tournament from the drawings. So, for those of you who will inevitably ask: if someone wins all 2517 tournaments, are there no prizes? Yes, per the rules. As we roll our eyes at you math nerds.
